Kurz vor 7 Uhr weckten mich die ersten Sonnenstrahlen draussen auf der Terrasse... ich transportierte meine Matratze wie immer nach drinnen und begab mich in die Hoteltherme: Zum letzten Mal genoss ich die Saunagrotte mit Abkühlung im Meer. : )

Shortly before 7 am the first rays of sun woke me up on the terrace... I carried my mattress inside, as always did, and went to the hotel thermal bath: For the last time I enjoyed the sauna grotto and a cooling off in the sea. : )

Nach einem letzten ausgiebigen Frühstück im La Gondola (http://www.hotellagondola.it) war es Zeit mich und meine Koffer nach unten zu begeben, wo Eduardo schon mit seinem Schubkarren wartete... Nun ging es erst mal 1/4 Stunde auf dem Holzweg zum Bus- und Taxiplatz - mit Treppen! Dort erwartete mich das erste Taxi, das mich in 20 Minuten quer durch die Insel nach Ischia Porto brachte.

After a last hearty breakfast at the La Gondola (http://www.hotellagondola.it), it was time for me and my suitcases to go downstairs, where Eduardo was already waiting with his wheelbarrow... Now it was a quarter of an hour on the wooden track to the bus and taxi station – including stairs! The first taxi awaited me there, which took me across the island to Ischia Porto in about 20 minutes.

Um 11:30 Uhr verliess ich Ischia mit der Fähre, die eine Stunde später Pozzuoli erreichte. Dort wartete das zweite Taxi mit Giulio, demselben Chauffeur wie vor einem Monat. Er fuhr mich in einer halben Stunde zum Flughafen in Napoli – ich hatte also genügend Zeit für alles! So genoss ich einen Frisch gepressten Orangensaft, verkleinerte meine Shoppingliste und genehmigte mir ein Glas Weisswein bevor es in den Swiss Flieger ging.

At 11:30 am I left Ischia by ferry, which reached Pozzuoli an hour later. The second taxi was waiting there with Giulio, the same chauffeur as a month ago. He drove me to the airport in Napoli in half an hour – so I had enough time for everything! I enjoyed a freshly squeezed orange juice, reduced my shopping list and allowed myself a glass of white wine before boarding the Swiss airplane.

Der Flug war pünktlich und dauerte 1 ½ Stunden. Ich sass auf dem Sitz 1A und somit Poleposition für Fotos beim Abflu: Napoli mit Vesuv, Sorrent, Capri, Procida und Ischia… Nur war leider Maskenpflicht während des ganzen Fluges, deshalb nippte ich die ganze Zeit an einem Champagnerglas! ; ))

The flight was on time and took 1½ hours. I sat on seat 1A and thus pole position for photos when taking off: Napoli with Vesuvius, Sorrento, Capri, Procida and Ischia... Unfortunately, a mask was required during the entire flight, so I sipped on a champagne glass the whole time! ; ))

War das ein toller Monat auf Ischia! Auch meine Haut hat sich sichtlich erholt! : ) Ich bin richtig glücklich, mir so viel Zeit genommen zu haben, so fiel der Abschied nicht allzu schwer… und da war ja noch Hanna, die ich in mein Leben kennenlernen wollte…

What a great month on Ischia! My skin has also visibly recovered! :) I am really happy to have taken so much time, consequently it wasn't too difficult to say goodbye... and there was Hanna, whom I wanted to welcome in my life...

Meine letzten Tage auf Ischia verbrachte ich an und um den Maronti Strand... morgens joggte ich nochmals den ganzen Strand hin und zurück (total 5,2 km) und zwar barfuss im Bikini: Das bedeutete sehr harte Beinarbeit auf dem selten festen Sand - dafür ein perfektes und Hornhautpeeling! Am Steg, wo ich jeweils schwimmen ging und morgens noch niemand war, hing ich mein Bikini auf und stürzte mich nackt in die Fluten - ein Gefühl der Freiheit pur und kein schweres, nasses Bikini, das meine Bauchtasche mit Telefon nass tropft... Genau so liebe ich es!!! : ))

I spent my last days on Ischia on and around the Maronti Beach... in the morning I went for a run back and forth the whole beach (total 5.2 km) barefoot in my bikini: That meant very hard footwork on the rarely firm sand - but a perfect callus peeling! At the jetty, where I went swimming and no one was around in the mornings, I hung up my bikini and plunged naked into the sea - a feeling of pure freedom and no a heavy, wet bikini that seeps my belt bag and phone... Exactly the way I love it!!! : ))

Natürlich genoss ich auch jeden Tag das heilende Thermalwasser - parole facili inclusive, wie die Einheimischen die sprudelnden Gespräche und Bekanntschaften in den Thermen nennen. Im La Gondola (http://www.hotellagondola.it) liebe ich die Saunagrotte am meisten, sie ist absolut natürlich: in den Felsen gehauen mit Holzbänken über einer heissen Quelle. Danach ging ich zur Abkühlung ins Meer, der kühlste Ort mit 28 Grad! Viele meiner neu geschlossenen Freundschaften kamen auf einen letzten Schwatz und um sich zu verabschieden. Svetlana schenkte mir ein Bild mit Widmung, das leider zu gross für meine Koffer war... so liess ich es im La Gondola und werde es das nächste Mal mitnehmen...

Of course I also enjoyed the healing thermal water every day - parole facili inclusive, as the locals call the sparkling conversations and acquaintances in the thermal baths. At the La Gondola (http://www.hotellagondola.it) I love the sauna grotto most, it is absolutely natural: carved into the rock with wooden benches over a hot spring. Then I went to cool off in the sea, the coolest place with 28 centigrade! Many of my new friends came for a last chat and to say goodbye. Svetlana gave me a present: A picture with a dedication, which unfortunately was too big for my suitcase... so I left it at the La Gondola and will take it with me next time...

Am Donnerstag besuchte ich ein letztes Mal die Nitrodi Quelle (https://www.fonteninfenitrodi.com), wie die vorigen beiden Male zu Fuss: 1 Stunde, 3.3 km und 250 Höhenmeter. 4 mal stündlich stellte ich mich 10 Minuten unter das heilende Wasser (es hat nur Duschen), ich genoss die herrliche Aussicht, eine echte Gesichtsmaske und zum Schluss einen frisch gepressten Orangensaft bei Pasquale. Bevor mich Pasquale nach Maronti (mit einem Prosecco auf dem Weg) fuhr, wurden die mit Nitrodi Wasser abgefüllten Flaschen für meinen Flug gut eingepackt.

On Thursday I visited the Nitrodi spring (https://www.fonteninfenitrodi.com) for a last time, like the previous two times on foot: 1 hour, 3.3 km and 250 meters in altitude. 4 times an hour I stood under the healing water for 10 minutes (there are showers only), I enjoyed the wonderful view, a real face mask and finally a freshly squeezed orange juice at Pasquale's. Before Pasquale drove me back to Maronti (with a glass of prosecco on the road), the bottles filled with Nitrodi water were well packed for my flight.

Und dann schlemmte ich und genoss es, mich einfach an den Tisch zu setzen und nach Herzenslust bestellen zu können...

And then I feasted and simply enjoyed sitting at the table and being served with whatever my heart desired...

Das letzte Abendessen genoss ich mit Pasquale im Il Pallone (https://www.ristorantepalloneischia.it), das ich 2 Tage zuvor beim Apero entdeckt hatte: Wir assen uns durch verschiedene Meeresfrüchte, die fast alle auf dem Feuer zubereitet werden - ein Gedicht! : ))

My last dinner I enjoyed with Pasquale at Il Pallone (https://www.ristorantepalloneischia.it), which I had discovered two days earlier having a drink: We ate ourselves through various seafood, almost all of which are cooked on the fire - excellent! : ))
