Das Wochenende auf Ischia ist definitiv anders als wochentags...
uuunglaublich wie viele Boote und Menschen hier auf die Insel kommen, speziell
in die Maronti Bucht.
The weekend on Ischia is definitely different than on weekdays... unbelievable how many boats and people come to the island, especially to the Maronti Bay.

Morgens ist es eh am schönsten am Strand, denn die Italiener sind
Spätaufsteher und so habe ich ihn ganz für mich! Entweder ging ich barfuss im
Bikini joggen und schwimmen oder ich nahm mein Morgenbad im 28 Grad warmen Meer
vor dem Frühstück... einfach nur genial!
The mornings are always the nicest on the beach, because Italians get up late so I have it all to myself! Either I went jogging and swimming barefoot in my bikini or I took my morning bath in the 28 centigrade warm sea before breakfast... just awesome!

Dieses Wochenende genoss ich mit Caroline und Francesco. Es war sehr
heiss: 30 Grad am Tag und 25 in der Nacht. Am Freitag traf ich die beiden in
der Hoteltherme, wo wir einen Fluchtplan für Samstag machten: Cava del Fresco
im benachbarten steilen Tal, keinen Kilometer vom Hotel La Gondola (http://www.hotellagondola.it) entfernt.
Die meisten Leute wollen ans Meer und kennen es gar nicht... Zudem öffnet
Claudio seine Tore nur auf Voranmeldung und garantiert Privatsphäre! : )
I enjoyed this weekend with Caroline and Francesco. It was very hot: 30 degrees during the day and 25 at night. On Friday I met them in the hotel thermal bath, where we made an escape plan for Saturday: Cava del Fresco in the neighbouring steep valley, less than a kilometer from the Hotel La Gondola (http://www.hotellagondola.it). Most people want to go to the sea and don't even know it... in addition Claudio only opens his gates by appointment and guarantees privacy! : )

Wir verbrachten einen herrlichen Nachmittag und Abend im Cava del
Fresco: Nach einem feinen Lunch mit frischer Parmigiana aus dem Ofen
(überbackene Auberginen, Tomatensause und Parmesan), Insalata Caprese
(Tomaten-Mozzarella Salat) und Percoche (Weisswein mit Pfirsichen) machten wir
uns auf zur alten römischen Therme. Dort waren wir den ganzen Nachmittag für
uns und konnten das Becken kaum verlassen, so perfekt war die Temperatur des
Thermalwassers! Cava del Fresco (https://www.facebook.com/Cavadelfresco) verfügt
zudem über ein 2. moderneres Thermalbecken und eine Sauna, die ich das nächste
Mal besuchen werde. Den genussvollen und unterhaltsamen Tag beendeten wir auf
der Terrasse des Restaurants Cava del Fresco mit Insalata Caprese, Spaghetti
alle Vongole, Doraden, Parmigiana und köstlichen Weisswein der Insel Ischia. :

We spent a wonderful afternoon and evening in the Cava del Fresco (https://www.facebook.com/Cavadelfresco): After a nice lunch with Parmigiana fresh out of the oven (aubergines, tomato sauce and Parmesan), Insalata Caprese (tomato-mozzarella salad) and Percoche (white wine with peaches) we set out to the old Roman thermal bath. We spent the whole afternoon there all by ourselves and could hardly leave the pool, the temperature of the thermal water was absolutely perfect! Cava del Fresco also has a second, more modern thermal pool and a sauna, which I will visit next time. We ended the enjoyable and entertaining day on the terrace restaurant of Cava del Fresco with Insalata Caprese, spaghetti alle Vongole, sea bream, Parmigiana and delicious white wine from the island of Ischia. : ))

Am Sonntag hatte es extrem viele Leute und ich legte mich bereits nach
dem Frühstück in den Schatten an den Pool... der Tag verstrich im Nu: viele
nette Gespräche in der Therme und Saunagrotte und dann stiessen Caroline und
Francesco dazu. Carolines letzter Abend auf Ischia feierten wir mit einer
Grillplatte Im Le Petrelle (http://www.ristorantelepetrelle.it) am äusserst östlichen Ende des Marontistrand -
einfach nur herrlich!

On Sunday there were a looot of people and I took a lounger in the shade
by the pool after breakfast... the day passed in no time: many nice
conversations in the thermal baths and sauna grotto and then Caroline and
Francesco joined me. We celebrated Caroline's last evening on Ischia with a
grill plate at Le Petrelle (http://www.ristorantelepetrelle.it) at the far eastern end of the Maronti beach - just
wonderful!
