Nach einem weiteren herzhaften Frühstück mit atemberaubender Aussicht im Hotel La Gondola (http://www.hotellagondola.it) hatte ich heute einen Besuch in der Nitrodiquelle auf meinem Programm... Auch hier war ich bereits im Mai letzten Jahres, weil jeder es mir als die beste Quelle für Hauterkrankungen anpries. Seither bestelle ich ihre Produkte nach Hause, aber auch ins Hotel La Gondola bei meiner Ankunft, so dass ich nichts mitschleppen musste! : )
After another hearty breakfast with a breathtaking view at the Hotel La Gondola (http://www.hotellagondola.it), I had a visit to the Nitrodi source on my programme today... also this place I had visited in May last year because everyone recommended it to me as the best source for skin diseases. Since then I've been ordering their products to be delivered to my home, but also to the Hotel La Gondola when I arrived, like this I didn't have to carry anything with me! : )

Um 13 Uhr machte ich mich auf die 250 m und 1 Stunde aufwärts zur Nitrodi Quelle zu erklimmen. Es war extrem heiss, aber der Weg glücklicherweise oft im Schatten der Bäume. Kurz bevor ich dort ankam, traf ich die Malerin Svetlana, die ich in der Therme des Hotel La Gondola kennengelernt hatte. Nach einer Stippvisite in ihrem Haus verabredeten wir uns für später zum Apero.
At 1 pm I started to climb the 250 m and 1 hour up to the Nitrodi spring. It was extremely hot, but luckily the path was often in the shade of the trees. Shortly before arriving the source I met the painter Svetlana, whom I had got to know in the thermal baths of the Hotel La Gondola. After a quick visit to her house, we arranged to meet later for an appetizer.

Pünktlich um 14 Uhr stand ich an der Kasse des ältesten Spas der Welt (aus dem 1. Jh. vor Christus), wie sich die Nitrodi Quelle (https://www.fonteninfenitrodi.com) auch nennt. Alles ist etwas komplizierter seit uns der Corona Virus endlich wieder 2 der wichtigsten Dinge nahe gelegt hat: Hygiene und Abstand... Man muss im Moment einen Platz reservieren, was ziemlich schwierig ist, wenn man sich nichts vorstellen kann... Es gibt 2 Schichten, so kann man entweder von 9-14 oder von 14-19 Uhr einen Platz in einem der 3 Teilen reservieren. Etwas gestresst, weil alle Gäste miteinander ankamen, wurden wir empfangen und lieblos zum Platz geführt, dabei verspricht die Quelle Wellness im pursten Sinn des Wortes... Ich kannte den alten Teil glücklicherweise und konnte so auch andere Gäste darauf hinweisen hinzugehen um etwas Geschichte und römische Überreste zu bewundern…
Ich hatte im Oasis meinen Platz gebucht inkl. eines Tees aus den
Kräutern des Gartens und einer Gesichtsmaske. Das 28 Grad sich eher kühl
anfühlende Heilwasser war absolut wohltuend nach der brennender Sonne und
umgekehrt! Gegen Abend holte mich meine geniale Masseurin Gaia ab und führte
mich auf den höchsten Punkt der Anlage. Dort genoss ich eine 80-minütige
Lymphdrüsenmassage, die so tief ging, dass sie mich bereits in den ersten 5
Minuten zu Tränen rührte! : )
Puncutally at 2 pm I was at the cash desk of the oldest spa in the world (from the 1st century BC), as the Nitrodi spring (https://www.fonteninfenitrodi.com) also called. Everything is a bit complicated since the Corona Virus finally suggested 2 of the most important things to us again: hygiene and distance... At the moment you need to reserve, which is quite difficult if you can't imagine anything... There are 2 shifts: you can reserve a seat or lounger in one of the 3 sections either from 9 am - 2 pm or from 2 - 7 pm. A little stressed because all the guests arrived at the same time, we were welcomed and unlovingly led to our places, withal the Nitrodi promises wellness in the purest sense of the word... Fortunately, I knew the old part and was able to point out to other guests to admire some of its history and Roman remains...
I had booked the Oasis package including a tea made from the herbs of the garden and a face mask. The healing water, which felt rather cool with 28 degrees, was absolutely beneficial after the burning sun and vice versa! In the evening my ingenious masseuse Gaia picked me up and took me to the highest point of the facility. There I enjoyed an 80-minute lymph gland massage that went so deep that it moved me to tears after 5 minutes only! : )

Nach meinem Verwöhnvergnügen trudelte ich bei Svetlana und Ciro zum Apero ein, nur wenige Meter entfernt von der Nitrodiquelle… Damit ich nicht mit dem Bus zum Maronti Strand hinunterfahren musste, fuhr mich Ciro mit seiner Vespa zurück. Rechtzeitig erreichte ich das Hotel La Gondola und setzte mich kurz nach 20 Uhr an den reich gedeckten Tisch...

After my enjoyment of indulgence, I stopped by Svetlana and Ciro for an
appetizer, just a few meters away from the Nitrodo spring... So as not to have
to take the bus back down to Maronti Beach, Ciro drove me back on his Vespa. I
reached the Hotel La Gondola on time and sat down at a richly laid table
shortly after 8 pm.
