Um 02:18 Uhr hat meine Tochter Melanie ihre Tochter Hanna zur Welt
gebracht und somit bin ich Oma geworden! Ich hatte Tränen in den Augen, so
glücklich war ich über die frohe Botschaft: Nun kann ich endlich eine verrückte
Grossmutter sein!!! : ))
At 02:18 am my daughter Melanie gave birth to her daughter Hanna and that's how I became grandma! My eyes filled with tears, that happy was I about the good news: Now I can finally be a crazy granny!!! : ))

Den ganzen Tag war ich aus dem Häuschen und steckte alle um mich herum
an! Ich glaube noch niemand hat je eine sich so freuende Oma gesehen... Es
brachte mir so viel Glück, dass mir Franco des La Gondola (http://www.hotellagondola.it) beim Frühstück
verkündete, dass ich den ganzen Monat im Zimmer 306 sein kann, ursprünglich war
das Hotel ab dem 18. August ausgebucht !
The whole day I was ecstatic and infected everyone around me! I don't think anyone has ever seen such a happy grandmother... My luck was that consistent that Franco of La Gondola (http://www.hotellagondola.it) announced to me at breakfast that I could stay in room 306 for the whole month, originally the hotel was fully booked from the 18th of August.

Den Tag verbrachte ich auf der Anlage des Hotel La Gondola: in der
Grottensauna, im Meer, an den Massagedüsen des Thermalpooles, im kleinen
heissen Becken oder auf dem Liegestuhl im Schatten... und immer wieder mit
netten Gesprächen und super lieben Tagesgästen (viele Napoletaner, die hier
Häuser haben) - einige scheinen von morgens bis abends im heilenden
Thermalwasser zu dösen. Und mit allen teilte ich meine Freude Oma von Hanna zu
sein! : ) Übrigens kriege ich langsam das Gefühl die einzige Ausländerin in
Maronti, wenn nicht auf ganz Ischia zu sein...

I spent the day on the premises of the Hotel La Gondola: in the cave
sauna, in the sea, at the massage nozzles of the thermal pool, in the small hot
pool or on the deck chair in the shade... and again and again with nice
conversations and lovely day guests (many Neapolitans who have houses here) -
some seem to doze off in the healing thermal water from morning to evening. And
with everyone I shared my joy being Hanna's grandmother! : ) By the way, I'm
slowly getting the feeling that I'm the only foreigner in Maronti, if not on
all of Ischia...
